This has been my work mantra for the last week. For probably the past month I've been looking to hire a part-time evening receptionist at work. I placed ads at USF, UT, and here on TR. Out of the four interviews I scheduled, only one showed. One at least wrote me an email stating she found another job, the other two just didn't bother to show, call, or email. Others on TR PM me saying they are interested in the job and will send me a resume...but I never receive one. What the fuck is wrong with people? Do they think they can get a job with no effort? Am I supposed to call and hold their hands to get them a fucking job? I'm fucking pissed off because I waste my time taking time out of my schedule for interviews and whatnot on cock gobblers who want a job, yet don't follow through with shit.

Thats pretty surprising....unless the pay is crappy. I know my old position at work, when we had openings, we'd get 200+ applications a day. If I know of anyone, I'll get you their info, Alan.

The job is pretty decent, particularly for a college student. $8/hr to work M-TH from 5-9. All they do is sit on their ass, answer the phone, transfer a phone call, and do minor computer stuff. It doesn't get much more brainless than that.

But what really gives me the red eye is these people being all excited about interviewing for the job, then not showing.

 

damn id love to have a job like that, i hate the one im in.

 

I would just like to add, again...people suck.

Today marks the fourth time I have been stood up for an interview in about two-weeks. I just talked to this girl over the phone on Tuesday. She was all excited about coming in today, then she never shows. What a waste of my fucking time. At least this weeds out the possible bad employees.

I have another scheduled interview tomorrow, but I'm not holding my breath.
