Angry God I can't stand our tech forums...

I made an effort to be a part of the tech forums again but I just can't stay with it. All the damned posts (talking Honda here) are just people bitching for help. Rarely is there anything other than cries for help. And as for the content itself, hell, it's just people repeating over and over again what has already been said at the beginning of the thread, people offering bullshit advice, or people simply replying that they have no clue. GOD HOW CAN YOU PEOPLE STAND IT!?!?!

The mullets know how to keep a forum going without many stupid questions (although there are some from time to time).

The only annoyance I notice is Zate posting pictures of some Australian Taurus in the Ford forum.

nissan is sadly going the way of the honda, though it is far from there still. i can only see it coming.

the worst part is people who spout off stuff just to make it look like they know something. carey comes to mind in nissan sometimes, saying something to be heard but never sure and many times not entirely true or correct info. granted, she has learned quite a bit it seems, but theres always got to be the person to throw in something just because there hasnt been a reply in 2 hours and better reply with 'i dont know' or 'its this *insert wrong part # or diagnosis* here.

i browse ford tech and gm tech because other than honda and nissan, they are the only forums halfway active it seems. theres always something to at least read about just because i try to expand my knowledge so i can try and have a conversation with someone in person about their setup and halfway know whats going on with their car.

bill, i know you and others probably miss the days of robster owning the honda tech forum with chock full of suspensiony goodness. THOSE were always good reads. i usually have to resort to honda-tech or freshalloy to hear scott or someone get into really technical stuff. there just arent enough local people (including myself) who can interest me with talk of otherwise discrete stuff.

On top of that I am just burnt out in general, and I think i am ready to go in hibernation.
Perhaps a vacation is in order, or at least a weekend getaway outside Tampa/St.Pete city limits. I find the ocassional weekend escape quite useful for regaining my sanity after a rough month.
