OK SO IM DOING THIS TO HELP MY FRIEND OUT HE HAD THIS POST ON CRAIGSLIST BUT I THINK THE CAR WILL SELL BETTER HERE ON TR
READ FIRST:
PRICE IS FIRM.
I'm selling the vehicle because I need to finish school, and don't really have the room in my budget for a car payment anymore. This car has been listed and re-listed a few times, due primarily to me changing my mind and justifying the car payment, but school's more important to me at the moment. My asking price is EQUAL to the payoff amount on the vehicle. I will not accept any less.
You have a few options:
1) Obtain your own financing through your own institution, or the institution currently holding the title (Capital City Bank)
2) Show up with cash and we go up to the bank, sign paperwork, and you walk away with the title
Now, on to the description of the car:
It is a 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt SS (note: Supercharged model, not the 2.4L Naturally-aspirated 'SS' model commonly seen on Craigslist.
Currently, you'll see a few dealerships listing their 'Cobalt SS 2.4L' vehicles for around the same price as this one.),
82,xxx miles
5-speed manual transmission
2.0L 4-cylinder
Eaton Supercharger
Leather seats,
18" wheels (painted black and clearcoated)
225/40/18 Nexen N5000 tires with less than 3,000 miles on them
The car has been maintained very well, with no mechanical flaws, and very few cosmetic flaws. I have owned the car since March of 2011, and have changed the oil, religiously, every 5,000 miles with Mobil 1 Full-synthetic oil and a Mobil 1 filter. Every other oil change, I have changed plugs (NGK Coppers, one step colder).
The vehicle did come with GM-installed Stage 2 kit, which consists of a smaller pulley, larger fuel injectors and a GM-installed tune.
The car also has a cold-air intake.
I recently replaced the heat exchanger pump (common point of failure on the Cobalt SS/SC and Ion Redline), and also flushed and replaced coolant with 50% Dexcool/50% Distilled Water, with a bottle of water-wetter to reduce intake temperatures.
The previous owner had a catback exhaust installed.
The car comes with a triple-gauge pod mounted on the driver's pillar that contains a Glowshift Tinted 7-Color Series Boost/vac gauge, a Glowshift Tinted 7-Color Series Volt gauge, and an Aeroforce Scangauge (awesome little gauge).
Does have an aftermarket headunit that was just installed (Sony DSX-S200)
Front speakers were replaced with Polk db6501 component speakers
Has aftermarket 'halo' projector headlights with HID lowbeams installed, and HID foglights as well.
Front is lowered on H&R Race springs on OEM struts, while the rear is lowered on Stance GR+ Coilovers. ($1200 for full set, typically $500-$600 for rears alone). Car has been dropped approximately 2" all the way around.
The car shifts perfectly and has no trouble getting up to speed. The only defects to note are purely cosmetic: 1) shifter boot is worn, 2) rear trunk lid has a scratch from previous owner, 3) rear bumper has a few scratches from previous owner.
I've attempted to be as accurate as possible in my description of the condition of the vehicle. I frequently attend local car meets (Tampa Car Meets, USF Car Meets, etc.) and am a perfectionist when it comes to the condition of my vehicle(s), and this car is no exception. It has seen countless hours of washes, clay bars, waxes and detailings. Please feel free to email me, and include 'SILVER COBALT SS' in the subject line, or your email will be deleted without response (due to massive amounts of Spam emails received in the past). I will be more than happy to provide the VIN number/exact mileage of the vehicle upon request. The car is available to be viewed, and test driven, but only after furnishing a valid drivers license, AND proof of funds/loan approval from your financial institution.
Things to note:
1) I will not give you the vehicle and leave the loan in my name.
2) If paying cash, I will not accept any less than my asking price, as this will pay off the loan in full. (i.e. remaining note on loan is $10,200-- I won't accept any less)
