Well, bottom line I'm selling my 79 mail jeep because of space. This things a riot to drive and I've yet to go on a drive and someone not say anything to me about the car. Sure it's over 30 years old and yes its a bit rusty but hell, it's a jeep. Meaning its as reliable as it gets. Little back story on this vehicle. I bought it from the original mail carrier who retired and did not need the jeep anymore. She used it since 1983. Mechanically its sound. No leaks, no smoke. Brakes, lights, engine tranny all work flawless. If you plan on getting the small stuff working you will need a instrument cluster and a blower motor. The speedo needle is unfunctional so a new cluster will take care of that. I personally just use a Garmin Nuvi as a speedo (I'll include it in the price).

I'd be lying if i told you i knew the miles but since the speedo needle stopped working so did the Odometer. The important gauges work, Water temp and oil pressure. Again, it's a jeep so it's not going to break anytime soon and for a grand you can have this right hand drive beauty. Yes, it's completely street legal and had a clean florida title in my name. 1k firm otherwise it's not worth my time to sell.

My friends doubted its capabilities. But i drove it 70 mph from hudson to clearwater. That was before i replaced some preventative maintenance parts. Girl drives it to and from work every day .

Thought about chopping the top. Adding a CJ5 rollcage and take the doors off. Then some sheetmetal n body work to fixer all up. Bigger whels n a suspension upgrade. Voila got yourself a RHD CJ5. And bump!
