Ls turbo is best way to go ls=torque plus turbo... But the tranny isn't gonna hold up so I would do the conv first so that u don't have to worry bout redoin the pipin etc

it will be fine as long as he gets a good oil cooler.

good tips.i had a ls turbo eg coupe on 5lbs stock everything jus boosted on 5lbs.had injectors and fuel pump thats all and it ran hella good.but do i gota do anything different wit the set up if its auto?

yes, get a large tranny cooler and run some high performance fluid.

huh? its easier to convert to 5 speed than to install a tranny cooler and change fluid? its really not that hard.
