TW: 1973 Volkswagen Super Beetle Project
I would love to keep it but I will be leaving for the Air Force in October and need to get rid of my '73 VW Super Beetle with clean title. The car has a sunroof, front discs, and McPherson front suspension. It was my daily for awhile but has been parked since late May of last year. Last time I drove it was from
Gainesville to Land O' Lakes to buy a new car.
The car has a dual port 1600 engine mostly stock, rebuilt by the previous owner 10k miles ago but has not been started since last May (needs a new wiring harness). The tranny is a 4sp manual that shifts smooth, clutch is good as well. Brakes worked well last time I drove it; the suspension, axles and mounts are in great shape also. The car is on 15" EMPI Riviera wheels with only about 2k miles on the tires. Interior is missing door panels and headliner, there is also a rip in the driver's seat. The body is in decent shape for an old project VW. As far as any rust, the passenger rear floor pan needs to be replaced, there is rust on the front fender, a little bit on the sunroof, and a couple spots near the "moon vents."
The car is in decent shape for a 37 year old car and will definitely make a fun project as these cars are easy to work on with huge aftermarket support and dirt cheap parts. It's always been my plan to keep it and restore it but things change and I simply cannot keep it. I'd like to get around $1700 for the car but am open to offers, NO LOWBALLING. If you are interested in the car send me a PM and I will get back to you, the title is in hand. The car will need to be towed from its current location and unfortunately, I do not have the resources to help with that so that will be up to you.
Here are a few pics of it while it was my DD, keep in mind it is no longer in this good of shape due to it sitting for over a year. I will try to get current, detailed pics within the next few days.

For some reason, the paint looks really good in the pics. Don't be fooled, it needs a paint job.
