someone give me some advise

just bought a car from a guy on hear claims to be a cop, the car is titled in his name and everything he told be all vins match up and its legit as can be. buy the car and get home with it notice the vin on dash doesn't match title. the title matches the fire wall and door jam. he tells me they swapped the dash for another civic dash that was black but the first time I asked him he said he bought it that way. after asking him over and over he remembers the changed the dash???? idk what to do with this car. is this going to be a problem with selling the car or inspecting anything like that????

the guy is telling me it is fine and not a big deal idk what to do

u wont have any problem ive had many cars with differnt dashboard vin just take the vin off the dash just in case u get pulled over but as long as the vins the same on the firewall your good unlees its outta of florida

yea the vin on the firewall and door jam are the sam as title and it was registerd in his name. i was concerned about him not telling me the first time i asked something felt sketchy

other states have differnt rules like inspection test

 

im trying to bring this car back to new york i sent the title and bill of sall to my dad to register there and send me a plate to get home with

 

yes the car will be registed in new york when you first do that they give you a 10 day temp inspection then u have to get it done
