FS: 1987 RX-7 Turbo II with LS1/T56 swap (Gainesville)
1987 Turbo II - cammed LS1/T56 (Gainesville, FL)
I am new to Tampa Racing, as I live in Gainesville. I spend most of my time on the forum for Grassroots Motorsports Magazine and have competed for several years in their $200x Challenge. My forum name is the same there if you would like to look me up.
I bought this car to satisfy my goal of finally having a streetable track car. I purchased it from the gentleman who built the car. He is a Mercedes Benz factory technician and built a beautiful car. It runs flawlessly and is brutally fast. I am selling it only because I am traveling weekly for work now and I don't feel good about then going off for track weekends, further reducing time from my family. We are going to buy a boat instead and spend the weekends out on the lake or the Gulf.
Price is $13,500 OBO, which is what I paid for the car. The only differences in the car from when I bought it are new rotors (Brembo) and pads (Hawk HP+) as well as a second set of wheels (Cobra R replica rims with Hoosiers mounted). The car is perfectly docile on the street and I drive it to work several times per week.
I am willing to look at trades too, whether up or down in value. A street car, especially for a late model SUV with room for 7 and towing (a Sequoia would be ideal) or combo DD/track car like an NB Miata.
