1996 DX Hatch Turbo D16 $2500
So the time has come to sell my first turbo'd baby.
So here goes....
Just F.Y.I- Im in school, and I work alot, so please inquire only if you are really serious, im looking for a quick, hassle free sale here.
The car is a 1996 DX Hatchback Civic.
The Good:
1.6l D16y7 Motor with a Y8 Intake manifold, custom throttle cable mount.
t3/t4 Turbocharger, capable of pushing easily 20lbs of boost (if you want to)
JDM Front mount intercooler
440cc fuel injectors w/ custom resistor pack
Competition Clutch stage 2 clutch
Chipped ECU w/ Hondata tuned by Tuning Tricks
Kyowa Series X Rims
M3 Fenders and Body kit front bumper
Pushed 210 hp on the dyno but it was at about 15 lbs of boost. The internals are stock, so I didnt want to push my luck on this motor, as I have D16Y7 Vtec motor that I was going to fully build, and boost heavily. These things make 400hp all the time if done right. I still have the motor and will include it in the right deal.
Its now at 7psi and making about 140 whp, nothing crazy but its a fun little car. Will be awesome with the right build.
The Bad
The car is on a rebuilt title, Im not sure what the accident was, but I never noticed anything that looked odd while I was working on it.
The body is not exactly perfect, few cracks in the bumper and such, nothing really bad though.
The ECU was stolen about a year and a half ago, along with my guage cluster, and air/fuel and boost guage. I replaced the ECU with the same tune as before but never replaced the guage cluster.
Interior not perfect, but not terrible.
No a/c or powersteering. I HAVE ALL A/C PARTS
Car has 144,xxx miles, I dont know if the motor has that many miles on it though.
So to summarize, fun little turbo car with big potential. Comes with an extra motor, and A/C components if you want them for the right deal. Would be great as a first turbo car, or project. It would be fine as a daily driver as is though.
Has a rebuilt title, but doesnt really affect anything as its an older car anyway, mechanically its sound. Body and interior in good condition, NOT PERFECT.
