TW/FT : 86 Suzuki Samurai (Off-Road Beast)
This is a 86 Suzuki Samurai
1.3L Carburated
I love this thing...I've just put A LOT of work into it. I paid $3,500 for it when it was stock.
Just a quick run down.. Im sure I am forgetting a lot of expenses....
Mod List:
YJ Suspension Kit ($450)
YJ Springs ($100)
Sky Shock Mount Kit ($160)
DTech 3000 Shocks ($200)
Rock Sliders ($160)
Driveshaft Spacers ($75)
5.12 Diff Gears ($200)
Spool locker for rear end ($100)
Lockrite for the front diff ($200)
Diff Install Kits ($200)
4.16 T-Case ($800)
Unbreakable T -Case Mounts
Mighty Kong T-Case Bucket ($200)
Axle Trusses ($50)
Custom Front/Rear Bumpers
32" Super Swamper TSLs (95% + tread left)
+ More... like I said I am sure I'm forgetting stuff.
This would not make a great DD although I drive it to work everyday (only a few miles away)
With the 5.12s and transfer case gears it's in 5th gear going 55-60mph at 3500ish RPMs...
Never over-heats...... strong motor (155-165 compression across all 4)
Smokes on take off sometimes... pretty sure it's the valve seals.
Ideally I'd swap in a 1.6 16v fuel injected sidekick motor but for off-roading purposes...the 5.12s combined with lockers and t-case gears makes this thing crawl like an animal. It'll go through any obstacle that you point it to...within reason of course.
No heat / No A/C.... no big deal I always cruise with the doors off.
The heater lines are by passed... was like that when I bought it... replace the lines and the heat will work I'm sure.
The full top is a little raged but keeps me dry and I have a bikini top with it as well.
Located in Biloxi MS but willing to meet with someone half way if a deal was made.
Anyhow, I'm just testing waters as the car bug is biting.... I'm looking for a S13 Coupe or a really clean hatch but prefer coupes. I prefer RWD but will entertain all offers.
I don't want your non running project car....LMK what you got.
I don't have anymore pics as I am at work and photobuckets blocked... sorry for this MASSIVE picture...
Bump if ya view please.... I'll rep ya
