97 Eagle Talon
Wassup everybody I have a 1997 Talon that I have been working on for about 2 years now and I have to sell it. The car is a 5 speed and has a complete 6 bolt swap.
The good:
Block
Fully factory rebuild with new .20 pistons, reconditon rods, polish cranckshaft, new piston rings, new rod and cranck bearings, new front and rear seals, new oil pump with balance shaft eliminated, new water pump,
Head
Ported and Polish head with new Brian Crower BC springs and titanium retainers, New valve seals, 3g lifters, three angle valve job,new three layer metal head gasket and new ARP head studs, and all new gaskets.

Apexi ASCF
Greddy Turbo timer
Greddy Electronic Boost Controller
Walbro 255 fuel Pump
Big 16g Evo 3 trubo
3" Down Pipe and Exhaust
Big Front Mount Intercooler
AC compressor and Condensor and lines were eliminated. heater still in.
Rear Bumper Converted to Eclipse and Eclipse tailights.
Leather Interior is complete. but the Driver seat need repair.
New CV axles.
New Six Puck Clutch disk, Preassure Plate, and Bearing.
The bad:
When I finish building up the motor I did the timing myself and when I cranked the car there was a lound cunch noise and I gess i bent some valves. the car starts and moves and it dosen't smoke at all but makes a lound taping noice kind of like valve tick but louder coming from the head. there are no noices coming from the bottom end.
Final Words:
This car was my baby but I am having a baby and I just don't have the time to keep messing with it I did most of the work, all the car probably needs is a few new valves, which are not hard to find given the fact that they can come from a non turbo first gen motor. heck i have some spare used ones that I can give you. I just need a car to take me to and from work so that I can give my other car to the wife for doctor apointments and such. Plus I'm kind of tire of the turbo fever. if you are interested let me know.

at best your head and pistons are OK
at worst, there's nasty shit missing from around a vavle or a big gash in a piston
i wouldn't run it any more at all

Actually the car was started and never rev. so the damage to the head should be minimal. car idle and didn't smoke. it just made the noice.
