Talking [FS: Orlando] CLEAN Miata

1991 Mazda Miata 5 speed

The car is in amazing shape as you can tell in the pictures. The engine is very strong, and although it only requires regular gas, I run premium. The car is a 5 speed manual transmission that shifts extremely smooth with no grinds what-so-ever. I have done a lot of work to this car, one of which being a transmission flush. The oil has been changed every 4,000 miles due to them being all highway miles. The car currently has 164,xxx miles on it which is nothing for a 1991 Mazda engine. I average around 27-35mpg. I pretty much always ride with the top down since it is a convertible and at night feels great!

I have the car lowered all around on TIEN Springs, which helps the car handle great around corners even better with the new Fusion tires that I put on the 17” Rims. There is virtually no body rock as you take a corner which is nice. I get a lot of compliments at the gas stations while filling up, and even some people asking what kind of car it is because it is not your typical Miata which is what I love about it.

I installed new 150w speakers as well as a new Alpine head unit that plays CD’s, mp3’s as well as connects directly to an iPod which I ran a cable into the glove box for because the Alpine can browse directly from the iPod very nicely. With the top down, going 80mph you can hear the radio no problem at all.

I just re-did the crankshaft on the engine, as well as replaced the “key” that holds it together. On older Miata engines, the key could break and throw the crankshaft which could be an expensive repair. I did this because I wanted to make sure the engine was in great shape and even more reliable. While I had the engine apart, I went ahead and put all new belts on as well as did the timing. I also stepped up and put on the higher end Gator back belts that grip a lot better. This was completed on July 2nd, 2008.
