FS: 1986 Saab 900 S
1986 Saab 900S 5 Speed
I bought this car a few weeks to restore as a project car, basicly just something fun to play with on the weekends. The only problem is I just dont have the time right now and my home owners insurance is due so I need some extra money.
When I bought the car it needed some work. I did an oil change, new plugs, new cap, Accel performance ignition, Coolant flush, Air filter and fuel system cleaning. The engine and transmission are in excellent condition, the clutch was just replaced 4 months ago.
Here is what the car needs with the prices I found:
CV Axels - 72.00
Brakes
Right outer tie-rod - 24.00
Exhaust (there is an exhaust it just has some holes)
Front motor mount - 49.00
I drove the car for a week everyday just to make sure everything is cool and there is no major problems. The exhaust is quite loud and hits a little at the muffler. Because of the motor mount the engine clunks a bit when shifting, also you cant get into 5th gear until the mount is fixed due to the gate being misaligned. You get the classic CV clicks when turning.
The interior of the car looks ok for an 11 year old car. The dash has some cracks but the power windows work fine. Seats need some cleaning also. The exterior is also in ok condition, the paint on the roof and hood is oxidized. The tires are in good condition and have a good ammount of tread.
If someone is looking for a reliable sporty daily driver then this car would be good, a couple hundred dollars or visit to the junk yard along with a few hours of work and this car would be excellent. I am being very honest about everything when it comes to the car, so please let me know if you have any questions.
I am looking to get 1000.00 but I am open for offers.
