Vehicle Description

This car is a blast to drive! I now have 2 children and hope to have a 3rd soon. So Daddy’s toy has to go.

It has a ZC DOHC engine (137hp vs. 105hp stock...note that this is the double overhead cam version of the ZC, not the SOHC). Swap performed by John at http://lhtperformance.net/. It has lots of new parts and needs no significant repairs. (A/C needs repair more later in description) This car is setup for drivability, not racing. It's noticeably faster than stock, but with the DX gearing it's much less buzzy on the highway and rides smoother than stock and still handles better.

Here's a full rundown on the car:
Body
The chassis has 199k+ miles on it.
New paint in 2004. The previous owner removed every plastic or rubber piece including completely disassembling the sunroof and removing the seal. He also hand sanded it. However, they seem to have gotten some dust under the paint on the hood and roof, so although it's shiny, it's not perfect. It's not expensive paint, but the extra effort put into the prep work shows and it's a match for the factory paint. No damage, the previous owner bought this car because it was from New Mexico and had no bondo and no rust, not even a hint (still no bondo or rust-except a little on the sunroof see pics). I've been over it with a fine toothcomb and there are no signs of any major collision at any time, any repairs, or any rust (except the sun roof- see photos). It does have its fair share of bumps, door dings, etc. All these have been painted over but you can see little ripples here and there in the picture. It looks like a car that's 16 years old with new paint. For example you'll see a few bumps on the top of the driver's side fender, probably from bumping it when doing the motor swap. Sunroof stops replaced, tracks cleaned and lubed, drain cleaned in 2004. Sunroof works great. (In 2004) New driver's window seal, rear wiper cover washer spray nozzles and gaskets. I have a pair of clear front corners that come with the car, I didn't like the way they looked on the car so I went back to stock.

Interior
Replaced the driver's side seat cushion and cover, so this is one of the few CRX's you'll find that has a solid side bolster and no tears or sagging. Black leather shift boot and e-brake boot with red stitching. White gauge faces. JDM Armrest.

Stereo
Cyclone CDVD89 it is CD/DVD/MP3 player. MB Quart 5.25" separates in front. MB Quart 6.5" coaxial rear speakers Pioneer sub woofer in spare tire (see pic) sounds great as is stealth at the same time. It has an Ultra Linear UL4400D 720W amplifier.

Suspension
15" TSW EVO wheels. They aren't perfect and some have curb rash (see pics) but look great on the car. Plus, I have 2 extra EVO's that come with it one with a tire on it and the other just the rim. I think one of them is bent, so I think of them as spares just in case. 2 of The tires on the car are Sumitomo HTRZ Z rated tires. Great ride, handling, and low road noise. Neuspeed Softsport Springs and stock shocks. I chose this for a smoother ride than stock with better handling. Lower rear stress bars.

Engine
ZC DOHC engine. Installed less than a year ago. It had about 50K miles on it. So it now has about 55K. This car is significantly faster than stock. Not just top-end gains from intake/exhaust mods, but solid torque and hp across the rpm range. The radiator is larger than stock. Not sure what model car it came from, but it's thicker than stock, and keeps the enhanced engine nice and cool. I replaced the Si transmission with a DX transmission. This gives the car much longer legs (3k rpm @70mph) which make it much quieter and comfortable on the highway. New (in 2004) Civic AWD clutch disk and pressure plate. I wanted to keep it stock, but wanted a stronger clutch, so I went with the AWD setup. All new motor mounts, all 4 replaced with swap. B&M short shifter and energy urethane rear shift bushing. Also replaced the shift linkage, boot, and mounting pin (in 2004). It also has a Miata weighted shift knob, which gives it a nice solid action (don't replace this knob, you'll regret it, it weighs about 2lbs and makes a noticeable improvement in shifting) AEM copy air intake. I also have the stock box and an air intake that ends inside the engine bay. I found this one was too loud and went with one that terminates in the front fender. This gives it a nice growl but not much difference when cruising. DX Headers otherwise stock exhaust.

Misc
DOT stainless brake lines Speed bleeders
I had cutout a spot for the amplifier inside the rear package tray, but didn't mount amp. I have another tray that is in great condition that will go with the car. The A/C currently does not work. The fan does not work either. However, there are several parts that are less than 2 years old. The mechanic said there is a crack in the compressor or condenser. I forget which. Once that is replaced it will work fine.
