91 galant vr4 #1507 fs for trade
i have only had the car for a month now and i thought at the time that i wanted a vr4 and i really like these cars but i love the 1g eclipse or talon a little more. i am only looking to get out of it what i paid for it, i have added a 18g turbo and fixed some things. i am only willing to trade for a DSM i dont want your honda or anything else
HISTORY:
I purchased this car September 20th, 2005, from the 2nd owner in Kentucky. I flew up to get it with my best friend and drove it back home without a problem. This is what the 2nd owner told me. He bought it off of ebay with a broken timing belt and some bent valves from the original owner around 115k miles. He bought it, fixed it and drove it around, car was bone stock. Then put it up for sale and I purchased it. After I bought it I immediately took it to first choice auto and had the 120k performed and the balance shafts removed. I then procedded to tint the windows (5%, very dark), and add some light modifications. I have recepits for all the work that I had done NOT by me.
MODS:
-no balance shafts done by First Choice Auto (have receipts)
-90 style oil cooler and oil filter housing installed (have receipts)
-2g ported manifold and o2 housing ported installed (by me)
-full 2.5 inch exhaust with magnaflow muffler done by exhaust shop (just a tad bit louder than stock)
-fmic with 2.5 inch pipes, bought from member off of here, will try and find the dimensions, painted black
-autometer oil pressure and 30-0-30 boost guage installed in fatz93 fiberglass speaker pod (very nice, had a lot of compliments on the setup)
-1g TEL shifter with leather boot (my favourite mod!)
-pioneer cd player, kickass cd player! with din pod below it, badass looking!
-replaced throttle body with modified n/t bead blasted, tested to 35 pounds NO LEAKS!, no fiav or isc
-removed all emissions bullshit
-galant vr4 floormats, they match the interior just the vr4 part is in green, all the way around
i think thats it. this is some of the maintance work ive done on the car
-recently changed all 4 wheel's brake pads
-ZERO boost leaks
OK so now some of the bad things-
-car has some rust, it was a northern car and i will try and show the rust on the car.
-leaks one drop of 4ws fluid per drive. i blocked off the 2 low pressure lines and no leakage, and one of the high pressure lines doesnt leak, but the other one still has a very slow leak, have to top off the fluid every 3 weeks
-light outside damage, had a few beer bottles thrown at the car (long story) and got 2 small dents.
-some scratches on the car, passenger fender was replaced by me and pops out a very little bit
-power antenna does not work, including a manual one picked up from ricekiller on the galantvr4.org boards
-drive side speaker is blown, happened after best buy installed headunit.
-fog lights dont work, worked before i took the bumper off, hooked it back up and now they dont, one is cracked very bad, the other has one crack in it
The tranmission shifts AWESOME, no grinds, used sycroshift. interior is a 9.5/10, car makes no funny noises and never once left me stranded in the year i daily drove it. the boost is at 11 pounds but spikes to 14 quickly then falls off, not sure why. BLOWS COLD A/C, hot heater! any other things i am forgetting i will post up, other than that this is a great car that is quick and reliable!
