i bet the rattling is from the timing chain, i had the exact car and it did the same thing, the timing chain was hitting pretty loud and it sounded like a rod knock or spun bearing...IMO it is Worth eveyr penny of 2k, this is a very clean car from what i can see in the pix...GOODLUCK with the sale man if i had enough to make a reasonable offer i would make on but i dot so....

 

if it was manual i would buy it right now for 2k cash, but good luck with the sale..BUMP^

yea if your getting rod nock, that means that youve prolly been running without oil and threw a rod. therefore your motor would get annoying and is pretty much screwed.!

 

Thanks for the worthless input. It hasnt been run without oil and if it threw a rod it would hardly be driveable. It runs just fine and it doesnt knock all the time. It's ran and drove the way it is for over two years. It's definetly not healthy that's why it's a good candidate for a swap.
