The pictures are not the greatest, but here is the rare and rather fast factory Turbo pickup truck.


The engine is completely rebuilt with a new head. The compression ratio is bumped up to around 8.2:1 from the stock 7.5:1. There is about 200 miles on the engine. only enough to break it in a little and tune megasquirt.

The engine is very strong, and pulls HARD. a compression check shows even pressure on all cylinders of around 180. all seals were replaced, so NO LEAKS!

A large intercooler and a blitz BOV are added, along with 2.5" exhaust downpipe back with currently no muffer (a straight through magnaflow is included, but not installed) The coil was also upgraded.

The megasquirt is flashed with megasquirt-n-extra which controls timing, but has the ability to utilize a knock sensor(one is on the engine) as well as a electronic boost controller.

The engine was tuned with the help of a wideband O2 sensor, but a narrowband is being reinstalled.

The body is straight and the paint is pretty good. The interior is very good considering the age. As the pictures show there is turbo embroidering on the seats as well as a few other places.

back before i rebuilt the motor and installed megasquirt I've pulled on all sorts of things, random hondas, turbo 240s, most everything I came across, but i never really found anything THAT fast. I havn't drove it much on the new motor, but it pulls a little harder than before.

Its not super fast compared to a well setup turbo car as it is a little heavy, but it has surprised a lot of people. its only running around 5psi right now, but these blocks are known to handle upwards of 20psi. With a little more aggressive cam and a bigger turbo this thing could be a monster. Ask fisher buggies in south Tampa, they are the experts in 22r turbo's. They have built 1000+ HP 22r's!

 

I'm leaving the state the 21st and MUST sell this truck before moving. I'm Dropping the price to $2700. This is a STEAL for this truck!
