Recently, while I was at school, the alternator in this car was blown when a few of my friends jumped the car and forgot to remove the cables after it started...

I have an ECU coming in the mail, hopefully to solve the idling problem it has.

In order to remove the alternator, you have to also remove the passenger's side front driveaxle to make space. I do not have the tools, time, nor the know-how to do this.

In light of some recent leads on selling or trading this, I figure I should bump it...

BUMP - I'm On A RolL!

 

Put in a used ECU from a member of isuzone.org. Engine diagnostic mode now works, set the timing.

Alternator still blown. Thanks go to Autozone for their free battery charging.

I figured out the idling problem thanks to the CE light flashes from the ECU. Bad Idle Air Controller, same IAC as in the 90-91 Geo Storm Gsi, so I'll try to grab one of those, maybe the whole throttle body or somehting. When you pull the IAC out, the car idles fine. No smoke.

Throttle response still sucks, you can rev the car up and drop the clutch to lurch down the street but thats it. No power. Might be the TPS...

Car is in Seminole, $1000 you tow it.
