just to give you and everyone else a heads up, probes did not come with a single cam from 93-97, they came in the 88-92 and were 2.2l sohc. the 93-97's came with 2.0l dohc 4cyl. engines as well as a 2.5l v6 engine, also goes the same for the mx6 and the 626. so basicly all you did was swap the stock engine in there.. nothing special about it..

and just so you know, you will be lucky to get anywhere near $1500 for it.. probe/mx6 dont hold value for sh*t... blue book is like $900.

never said the motor was anything special and it did have a single cam in it cuz i still got the motor just to let you know!

 

i sold my 89 probe last week for 800 and it was in great condition...so good luck getting what youre after..

 

94 didnt come with the 2.2 it came with the 2.0 mazda motor, someone must have swaped a 2.2 b4 u got it. was it turbo sohc. i can see the point if they swaped a 2.2 GT motor in it. but not a 2.0 twin for a 2.2 single. i had a 94 and i did a mazda speed swap to it. ran like a beast that 2.0 is very strong.

 

no its did not come with a single cam engine, dont matter what you may think/say, reason being is because the only single cam engine is the 2.2l out of the 88-92 mx6/626/probe, and they do not fit in the 93+ chassis without some modifacation.

i cant see why anyone would swap a BS 2.2l sohc into that car, unless it was the F2T, which i highly doubt.

 

who cares has dual cam motor in it that only has 100k on it and it runs awesome need it gone

kind of sounds like he wanted to make it seem like it had something special in it to boost the price of the sale, cause its worth no where near $2000 or $1500 for that matter....all it is, is a stock basic 2.0l probe... worth nomore the about $1100.
