1987 17'7" West Boats Center Console with Suzuki 140 & Trailer
I bought this boat mid-last year and have put quite a bit of $ into it. It is a 17'7" West Boats Center Console fishing boat. It is a 1987 boat but is in great shape. It's a great hull, that takes chop well, and is very stable in the water.
The suzuki 140 is a juggernaut - very reliable motors, and with it's recent service and proper maintenence it should last a long time. HOWEVER - last time out the buzzer sounded and the rev limiter kicked in. This could be as simple as a clogged oil sensor, worn impeller (I have a spare), or it could be somethign more....
Since I purchased it last year I have added the following:
New Control Box - $300
New throttle cables - $100
Fixed Steering cable - $100
New batteries - $120
New switches - $30
Uniden VHF Radio - $220
Raymarine COLOR Depthfinder - $350
Completely serviced outboard - replaced sensors, cleaned carbs, tuned $530
That is $1750 in work, and I know there is more that I am forgetting. This should be a very reliable and fun ride for someone wanting a nice small fishing boat, or something just to go out with friends.
42mph on my GPS in chop, should go slightly faster in smoother water or you can change out the prop for more speed. Right now it has a nice stainless prop on it.
$4000 OBO!!!!!
Includes trailer and misc safety accessories.
