1985 20 Valve MKI MR2 F/S
I just recently purchaced this car from a friend of mine and its a great car. But i am a AE86 guy. So there is an opertunity for me to grab a extremely clean AE as soon as i can sell this car. Or i will trade for a clean ae86 GT-S, i dont care if its coupe or hatch. THis car as an amazing amount of fun it was a blast killing my friend with their $4000+ suspentions in the turns. I am dissapointed that i have to sell the car but again i have this great oppertunity to grab another AE86. THe previous owner wrote this about the car...It's an 85 sunroof, all the options, used to have cruise control but when i did the swap i removed the actuator and the control box. The shell itself has about 126k on it, the motor has about 55-66k on it. Body is pretty straight, would need a passenger front fender/front lip(plan was to get a ToySport) to make it perfect but looks good now. It has the 87+ taillights, side skirts, engine vent, and the semi rare rear "Toyota" visor. Windshield has a little rock chip in it, i just got used to it after a while. Suspension is Suspension Techniques springs wrapped around tockico blue shocks, followed by polyurethane bushings all around. THis car is equipted with the factory sway bar. Wheels are Rota Circuit 8's in bronze, sized 16x7, shod in Toyo Proxes FZ4's, sized 205/45/16, not my first choice, but they are decent and were on there when i bought the wheels. Interior is super clean for it's age, door panels have tears in the same spots on both sides, they can be recovered, no cracks in the dash, original seats, aftermarket wheel, with two gauges, oil pressure and water temp tucked into the cluster, very simple and clean, i dont really like unneeded distraction when driving this thing. and onto the fun part, the engine, the 16 valve 4age in it originally when i bought it was leaking oil from every possible orifice, so in the summer of 04, after owning the car for about 2 years, i put in a 20valve Silvertop from an ae101. Now, as some of you may or may not know, the management from a silvertop uses an AFM, and that's all well and good, and i drove it that way for awhile, and it was great, nothing like the first time you take a swapped car out for a drive. but the allure of open ITB's attracted me and i decided to go that route, so instead of jumping for a full standalone, as the car was still my daily, i went with the obvious simple choice, just switch to the MAP based blacktop electronics. anyone who has ever heard this car at WOT i think can agree that i made the right move, and that is half the reason i love this car so much, simply because it's unique. up until march of this year this car was my daily, and i still drive it often, never had a problem with it, the 20 year old fuel pump crapped out on me, and now a 255lph walbro resides there. as i said, i love this car, and it will be a shame to see it go, but sometimes you just have to let go, and i'd like it to go to someone who can appreciate it. The car comes with a spare silver top head, and everything is there for the AC system to work but the compressor will be given not installed in the car. The car is currently painted flat back and doesnt come with the TSW 5 spoke wheels that are pictured. You can contact me though email at DJLUG@AOL.COM or SNAILPOWEREDAE@AOL.com Im looking for $3500 obo. and i am located in Orlando FL. I am willing to drive 100 miles in any direction to deliver the car with $500 deposit on the car.
