The new 91 RT/TT FS thread
Starting a new thread cause the old one is cluttered and hard to follow.
Well guys, it looks as though i'm just going to have to suck it up and take a fat loss for trying to be a good samarition. If any of you remember from my first thread i bought this car to keep it from the clutches of a kids first car. I knew full well the car would be ruined within 6 months.
Anyway, here is some history on the car. It is a two owner car. Last owner bought it in 1993 when he retired, and moved to FL from Conn. He was in his early 50's at the time. Since he's had the car it has been relegated to road trips back home for visits for the summer, and his daily t-off at the local CC. The car has been dealer maintained its full life and it certainly shows. Have a folder of receipts showing everything.
Its obvious the car was very well cared for and is still very healthy by the compression check i recently did. Picks of that below. All the major maintenance has been recently performed, so you don't have to worry about anything for some time. New paint on 9/3/00 for 2,555.76. New antenna assembley on 6/8/01 for 483.58. New clutch, axle and rear mian seals on 12/21/01 for 779.17 with 116084 miles. New suspension on 6/13/02 for 1,254.35 with 124284 miles. Timming belt job done on 3/31/03 for 818.32 with 130624 miles. New exhaust on 6/28/05 for 911.42 with 154241 miles. That's all the major work within recent years.
This is truely a get in and drive car. Take it to Alaska and back with no issues. As always feel free to inspect the car or have someone inspect it for you....meaning if you are not close enough to come by yourself have a fellow memeber come look at it for you. Or i can put you in touch with a couple members that saw the car when they came to pick up the VR-4 project i sold a while back. Absolutely nothing to hide.
About the price. I obviously want as much as someone will pay, but i can't wait till the next mellinia either. I do not want to hold on to this car much longer. Mainly because it never gets driven. That's the whole prupose of having a car like this. I currently take it around the block once a week to keep everything tip top, but that's it. I will entertain all offers be it trades, or whatever. Buuuuuut, pay attention here****If you think this car can be had for a few hundred near 5K then do not waste our time.**** Anything close to that is an insult, and you will be pissing me off. I'm sure there are other cars you can find for that price range, but this is not one of them. I no longer have the patience for lowballers or dreamers. You have wasted to much of my time. So if you do not have the money in hand, then wait to contact me until you do. Sorry i have to come off in such a manner, but unfortunately many people do not respect other peoples time, nor do they appreciate said property. Yes you can save yourself 500 bucks(maybe even a 1000 if you're lucky) up front by buying someone elses car. However, mark my words, saving a few bucks up front will not come close to covering the cost a car like that will cause you on the back end...i.e. maintenance or other hidden things the seller will not disclose.
I can, and will, work with the buyer on the shipping. Its ultimately the buyers responsability, but i will be happy to help coordinate with a transport company for pick up or even deliver the car to the buyer myself.
Edit...Ok, thanks for being patient. The pictures are up. I have many more if need be.
Edit..duex...Its been brought to my attention that some may not realize the features that accompany a Twin Turbo Stealth. The car comes in Firestorm Red on Sahara Sand leather, with power windows, power door locks, power mirrors, power seats( the driver has power lumbar and bolster adjustments as well), power steering(which also happens to be all wheel steering), along with full time AWD and ABS. It still has cold auto climate controlled A/C, that new fresh car smell, electronically tunable suspension and exhaust, radio with cd player, and much more that i know im forgetting right now.
Oh, and this isn't your typical stock 300 hp Stealth. I have recently done the 5 minute mod which increases the power output to 320hp. Just a removal of a boost restrictor. So up until 3 tenths of a mile ago the car had been completely stock for its whole life. Its still stock, but with a little something extra.

True milage.

Plenty of receipts that verify through an independent 3rd party of all work performed. You don't have to take my word for it...its all there on the reciepts.

The following are shots of the interior.

Driver seat was just recently recovered to replace the worn out bolsters. And no the seat is not dirty...it just appears that way from the crappy camera i was useing and the low lighting.

Original carpets in great condition.

Passenger side seat is still original and in excellent condition.

Nothing wrong here either.

The rear seats are in excellent condition as well. The last owner always kept the rears down because he always kept his clubs in the car.

As you can see the rear spare trunk is still mint as is the rest of the car.

The following are the compression readings i got on a cold engine with TB open. Just in case you don't know anything on a TT engine in the 150-160 range is considereble very healthy.
Cylinder 1 (155psi)

Cylinder 3 (160psi)

Cylinder 5 (157psi)

The following pics show the slight blemishes the car does have. Everything considered, it is in better than excellent condition.
Front passengers side of bumper. I recently took some cleaner wax to it which cleaned up a lot of that. Now there is only the black/dark grey spot there.

Owner said he unknowingly rolled the car to far forward in a parking space which let the lower bumper sit on a curb stop for a while. The picture makes is look worse than it is. Probably because i had to get really close to even get it to show up in the pic, thus making it take up the whole frame. you wouldn't know it was there at a glance or 5+ feet away.

Again the bump stop issue. Nothing bad and may be able to buff it out.

Neither the previous owner, nor myself have any idea as to how this chip got in the hood. Its the size of a quarter, and as you can see he tried to color match it. Unfortunately, the local auto parts store did not have an exact match for the paint. He said he went with the closest color cause he didn't want the weather to begin to wear on the area. So he sealed it up with what was availible. You can see it not doubt about it, but its impossible for any person to see if you were to fly past them at 150mph.
No, really, its not bad.
