well i was intrested and did have the money until i decided to buy an integra.....oh well and $150 + some elbow grease? i'm sorry buddy but nothing with the transmission is $150 well except maybe to get it looked at......or maybe if you rebuild the tranny yourself but that'd be the cost for the "papers" aka gaskets, to have it rebuilt properly would cost around $950.....NEW tranny about $700 used tranny at LKQ salvage yard $50 but chances are they have the same problem i went to 5 out of 7 locations and no one had a good auto tranny, i'll post pics of my 92 colt it recently had a new tranny and one of the only ways to make the tranny do what is happening with yours is to rev the engine up in neutral then drop it to drive or 1st gear, i know the kid who had my colt before me did that then i hit a pothole and it messed up, but try high reving it and maybe it'll jump into gear i mean it won't hurt it anymore then it already is, also with how the tranny is, the bell housing is probly cracked and not cooling properly so before you make your $150+ elbow grease comment actually research a topic, i also have reciepts for gettin my tranny repaired

when you rev it make sure it's in park, that's the only way i could get my car out of the bells parking lot and my ex girlfriend was getting in the car when it jumped, but maybe that'll work for you and you can actually get something for that beast of a sleeper, but oh well i've got my colt and it's almost completed in mods, new project is integra and that just needs all the electrical plugged in and radiator hooked to tranny and a new dizzy, coil, and crank angle sensor so it's almost ready for paint

$950 is a joke. A normal person (on this site) would proceed with the 4g63t swap with this car if they bought it. And throw an original Mitsu turbo tranny (From the 89 original turbo colts/mirages) or a 1st gen dsm tranny. The auto tranny goes either way I'd think . Good luck selling, it's a great project car. I have one but mine is kinda done hehe.

First off, I can get the person who bought the colt a good working "used" auto tranny for $150 shipped, Therefore if you bought it for $150 and you know how to work on cars, which it sounds like you don't know how, you could just do it yourself i.e. "ELBOW GREASE". Sorry buddy but car is near perfect besides the auto tranny, bellhousing is not cracked, car doesn't overheat at all, transmission is toast. I drove the car back from the dealer, then the auto transmission just stopped working, and no I didn't speed race it back to my house, I have an rx7 for that. I don't even know why you bother'd posting, you just look stupid, like your trying to brag and put my car down at the same time. ANYBODY who knows about colts knows this car is worth every penny of $400. Don't post if your gonna try and tell me what I know, or what parts I can and can't get.

Where can you get a good working "used" tranny for $150 i honestly would like to know this.....it could have saved me alot of time and with what your car is doing I didn't say the car overheats, I said the bell housing.....that's a part of the transmission you made yourself look stupid in that and i'm not bragging about my car, you drove the car from the dealer and the tranny stopped working.....then go to the dealer and complain if you got it from the dealer and it just stopped like that it'd be known as a lemon and you'd get your money back and save yourself the hassle of tryin to sell it, and it's a nice lookin car that's why i was intrested, i enjoy mine as much as anyone else, but instead i bought an 89 acura integra for 300bux from a friend of mine on here, that lives around the corner from me. And yes it is worth every penny of the $400 thus the reason why I traded a 92 eclipse for mine

well the 4g63t swap would be awsome but it is time consuming as you know as is anything else with the car, altho i'd rather just find a colt gt in the junk yard and swap that....it'd be a bit easier not so much work as the 1.5-2.0t swap, oh well
