lol, no worries man. PLus they were wrong anyway, its 4wd not awd. 
I dont know the diff between 4wd and awd but i know there is one!!! lol
Im going to strip the old nasty tint, and fix a small oil leak, after that i think i will be asking $$2400

most 4wd cars you can switch between 4 and 2, awd all 4 wheels are always under power. i thought in those your able to switch right? bump for a clean little subbie.

I cant switch. I have full time 4wd, i can only switch between hi/lo, but you are right for the other models subi had out at the time, they were able to switch. I also have a center diff lock switch on this.

The swap is possible, but not direct.

Well, for Subaru people, anything that will physically fit is a "direct bolt in", that is, after you break out your welder, bandsaw, mill and lathe
