Just to add something indirectly, make sure you show proof that the bank has a lien on the title and whoever buys it make sure you see that proof. With all the bike thefts lately you would hate to be buying somone elses stolen bike. By no means am I calling you a thief, just saying that people are weary of deals like this due to bike theft numbers. Good luck with the sale.

The lien for the bike is with Tampa federal credit union for the sum of 6200$. I'm upside down and inside out on this bike. I have all paper work, tag, and registration for the bike. Its getting kind of hard to part out the bike, because it will take too long. I would like to sell it as it sits. I have some pics if you want to see email me at badazzpitz@aol.com

I am interested in buying the complete bike from you but I will never be able to title this bike seeing that a lein is on it and I am not the owner. The balance of 6,200 must be paid off before someon is able to own the bike free and clear...I dont want the bike for parts I want it to rebuild and drive..let me know if you have some way of doing this transaction...

No you can buy a frame for it and the fram will come with title all you do is say you built the bike and use the frame registration and title to title the bike. You will have reciept for the bike from me which will allow u to show proof that you bouth the parts and you didnt steal them

Nope, not that easy. Doesn't quite happen that way. In order to put a bike on the road under and "assembled from parts" title. The person must have seven major parts replaced from another bike. This means that i have to buy a frame, get a sperate engine, seperate forks, seprate wheels, seperate tires, yada yada yada. You must have all the reciepts from those parts. They will run the vins on everything they can. Anything that is stolen or has a recorded lein on it will not work for obvious reasons. If your reciept for a part doesn't have the vin number of the bike it came off of, then you mine as well not even show up for the inspection.
That is why you can't assemble a bike from one that has a lein on it. Your only option at this point is to sell off the parts individually. This is still illegal since their is a lein on the bike. The lein company actually owns the bike, so selling off the parts is not up to you. The only way you could do this without getting in trouble is if you went through a bankruptcy and you were awarded the bike. Then and only then can you part it out, because it can never be put on the road until the lein is paid off. This is a gray area which is still up for debate whether its 100% legal to do. Best of luck to ya. Best bet is to ebay it.

^^ Yeah you're basically both right. Putting a new frame with a clean title will get you on the road, its just not the "legal thing" to do. But you will appear legit until a cop tries to match your frame VIN with your engine VIN. They aren't the same, but they are paired.

badasspitz- check PM, also send some pics my way please.... yamar6@aol.com

Sorry bro, but your mistaken. The pieces on his bike are not legally avialible for sale. Doesn't matter if you have a clean titled frame to swap everything over to. Don't get me wrong, i wouldn't turn someone in for this, but if the lein holder came looking for their bike, or what's left of the bike, they have every legal right to take back whatever theycan prove is theirs. So if you buy the engine and put it in you bike, they take this kid to court and have him tell were all the parts went, then they could come and snatch the engine right out from your bike. More than likely the whole bike would be impounded until they could clear the smoke, then you could go pay the impound fee's and pick up what's left of you bike.
Like i said, i got no problem if someone wants to buy parts off this bike and wouldn't care to tell anyone if they did. However, there was a misconception as to what could be done with this bike, and if the truth wasn't out there it could get nasty. Now knowing full well the ramifications if someone wants to buy a piece from this bike, then that's now on them. That's the reason i said for him to ebay the stuff should the lien company come calling for their bike the likelyhood of them tracking down the bike parts all over the country is slim to none. Where as if the parts are local, and the repo dept has nothing better to do they may actually track down said parts.

Ebay this stuff, or buy full coverage insurance . good luck
