Ok heres a 1997 eclipse GST. The car idles, you cant tell theres anything wrong with it, but when you accelerate, it has a slight rod knocking sound. It slowly got to this point and I dont want to drive it any further to prevent it from getting worse. I dont have the time or money or else I'd get it fixed. Shop quoted $300 for parts and labor to replace rod bearings, but im sure most of you guys know how to fix this yourself. This is a KILLER deal on an eclipse worth $6K+ to fix up and keep or sell. Im moving, and need the $ right away CAR MUST GO! Has a lot of aftermarket parts - Greddy BOV, tubing, boost timer and so forth - Projector headlights, altezzas. Its a really sharp car and i'd like to see it go to someone who will take care of it. I'm asking a fraction of what the car is worth and im also up for trades!
