Nah, just yank'n your chain. Even as a civic owner, the resale prices never stop amazing me.
I saw a 90' integra at Brandon Honda a few weeks ago that was 4-door and had 163K miles on it and they wanted $7500 for it !!!!
In the case of an older GSXR750, you should be able to find someone to trade you, if you car is clean enough.
