Default 1967 Mustang Coupe - PARTS CAR

This is what the car looked like before I stripped it down to a rolling chassis.

My father purchased this car for an outrageous $2800 the Christmas before last, saying we'd restore it together. That didn't play out exactly as planned, and I ended up stripping the car down to a rolling chasses in preparation for a rotisserie restoration. I found out what the cost of the restoration was going to be and threw a tarp over the car and let it set after I bought my '89.

The car was originally a running, candy-apple red '67 Coupe with a 200CID I-6 and a C-4 tranny. It had the standard black vinyl interior with absolutely PERFECT seats and a non-functioning A/C. The engine could use a rebuild as well as a new carburetor-(the 1 barrel carbs were known for having problems), and the transmission was slipping a little before I started pulling the car apart. The chassis itself is in rough condition; it was a northern car and apparently was subjected to salty winter roads early in its lifetime. It has been in Florida for more than 10 years, but the car still has the expected rust problems. It needs to have new floorboards welded in, the right front frame rail needs to be repaired after a battery leaked acid all over it, and I found Bondo in the rear quarter panels after I started sanding it down. Apparently someone did a small restoration long ago but never completed the project.

I want this car gone. There are parts all over the place. It would make a good parts car for someone who is restoring another classic Mustang. I'll take $500 for everything as long as the buyer comes and hauls it all away. I live one exit south of BMP. If you have any questions, PM me, email me at slo5oh@slo5oh.com, or call 941-224-0082.

Sure do. The car was complete and running before I stripped it down. Here are some pictures of everything: http://www.slo5oh.com/temp/
