looking to trade my hd series jl amp for a rockford or mmats 3000.1

 

Don't take this the wrong way, but WHY?

 

IDK i had originally planned to run it on a 12w7, but recently ive been feeling like i wanna go with 2 12.2 orion hccas or 2 Ascendant Audio 15 Havocs, so ive kinda gonna need to get alot bigger amp. lol. Maybe like 2 2000.1 rockfords

 

Ah... What type of car/vehicle? What your thinking of doing will require MASSIVE amounts of current to work properly. Is the 12w7 not performing to your expectation?

 

i currently have a 99 yukon. i probably wont do the orions until i get my next car, which will be a 2006 Denali. Im probably gonna try and go with two 15.2 Orion hccas and 2 hifonics 2000.1 amps. naturally i will have to upgrade the alternator and get extra batteries to maintain it all. Its somewhat of a long term build but it should push around 150 db with that setup. and im a huge fan of jl and think they make great products. but orions are a full out competition sub that SLAMS. and there basically half the price of W7s
