2006 z4 Mcoupe exhaust
Ok so after owning my car for a while I finally decided to change the exhaust. The car was so quiet in my opinion, and I was hoping to gain some mid and top end power where it needed it. I did not want anything that was to loud either. Have a really good friend that owns LHT performance. LHTperformance.net
We decided to to do dual 2.5 inch stainless from the header back. We deleted the secondary cats and put magnaflow resonators in that spot. we also built the x pipe and finished with the magnaflow mufflers with dual tips.
The sound is perfect not to loud just the perfect tone in my opinion. It is also very quiet in cruise control still.
needless to say I was happy with the looks and the sound. We had done a base line dyno with car and it hit right at 270 WHP. After the exhaust we saw gains in the mid range but most impressive in the top all the way up the RPM. the car ended at 287 WHP max but some areas had over 20 HP gains. I am very impressed with how the car pulls all the way up top now and does not seem to just be flat. here are some pics of the build.
