Anybody have a Scanner tool?

I have a 1997 328I that I need to scan the check engine light. The car is running like crap anybody have a scanner I can borrow or if you know a shop that can scan it and not rape me on it. Thanx

A generic OBD2 reader can read and clear the code.
Otherwise I have a GT1 that could be use.
