Default Deciding if i should get an E46 330I please chime in!

ive been looking around for some time now and i think i have made a decision of getting an 02+ e46 330i, i would really like the ZHP package one but those are really rare and costly so ill have to probably go to the next best thing and stick to the 330I, any one know something about their maintenance, reliability? anything at all please chime in!

Just don't overheat it, or attempt to do a timing chain replacement with out the proper tools..

If you do get it. Use what the factory oil and filter, and keep it changed within spec. Get a factory manual, or go to BMW TIS EPA for repair info.. Or RealOEM.com Online BMW Parts Catalog for parts look up They take a lot of special tools.. I'll ask a friend that knows BMW's like the back of his hand what to look out for. It will be Tuesday before I can ask him though.

Have an 04 325Ci and I love it. the E46's aren't made to be the fastest car out there. But they kill in handling. If you want fast, maybe not the best choice. All though the 330 has more hp & torque than the 325. Great car though.

Two other forums to help you out:

General E46 Forum - E46Fanatics

E46 (1999 - 2006) - bimmerfest - BMW Forums

I say go for it then. My car is so fun to drive. Something I was missing in a few other brands I've owned. If your into modding, there is a rediculous amount of stuff to do. Keep the car in good condition, and it will last near forever.

LOL....yeah it is. I looked and looked. All I was finding was 15k w/ 127,000 miles. YEAH RIGHT! I ended up with a 325ci w/ 54,000 miles. I'm happy.
