not really sure what enzo 240's talking about. the motor in the z4m is detuned if anything. there are lots of things you can do to that motor. the motor is a s54 if my memory serves me correct. all the standard e46 m3 tricks can be used to make good bit of power in a hurry.

i've looked at them several times but the size bothers me (i'm so use to driving big sedans)

check out floridagerman.com , a couple of boosted s50/52/54's are running around there tons of m3 guys etc. We're bringing back a few of the german meets that aren't too far of a drive from you.

rock and roll and for a M coupe!

and i just like this smiley so we should pop tops to you and

thanks,, i saw a few turbo ones putting down 500 plus WHP.... but i am staying conservative on this one...i think my first mod is going to be VOLK TE37 wheels...mix a little german and japanese engineering...I saw a 335i in st.pete with some TE37 looked incredible....

First of all, congrats on your purchase of one absolutely gorgeous car!

I'd be concerned about putting forced induction on top of that 11.5:1 compression ratio without at least changing the head, pistons, or the whole engine altogether for something with a lower CR. Without changing the engine, you're pretty much limited to minor external bolt-ons (exhaust, intake, etc.) that might be good for a couple HP at the most, but would make it SOUND a lot better. I believe Dinan makes an upgraded chip for your ECU that, knowing Dinan, should be worth another ~20 HP.

As far as suspension goes, half an inch lower with stiffer springs and a good set of Bilstein Sport or HD struts will make an appreciable difference in handling quality.

Side note: the stock wheels look far better than those Volks, imo.
