I just put nitrous on my 95 bmw 525i
Hey, guys I just finished my install of a EFI NOS kit on my 5er. I was wondering if there are any pros that could just confirm my install before I blow this car up on accident. please hit me up if you are knowledgeable in this area. thanks
dry shot? how big.
i personally wouldn't spray more than a 50 shot dry on anything, and even then if i can't monitor the air fuel ratio's i'd be worried about the ecu not compensating enough or pinning injectors

I would be very careful when you finally decide to use it, try going with a very small spray to see how things go before giving the full hit. We have a kit on our 92 525i M50 vanos swaped with auto to manual conversion. Good luck and be careful those motors will not take much abuse especially if nitrous is used incorrectly.

no offense but the install looks shitty... bottle on a 2x4, wires ran everywhere no pressure guage... your hurting for a disaster... spray small very small and see how it reacts id get a wideband setup to atleast monitor your a/f.... good luck...

Yeah I def agree on the wideband, nitrous is an awesome way to pickup power if used correctly, but it really is for people that know what they are doing and are confident in using it, if you have any doubt, id seriously be careful!

i haven't even looked at the pics are they that bad?
wide band when playing with nitrous isn't a must but is a great idea. i agree hole heartily with picking one up if your new to the laughing gas
i'm a preacher for the pros of nitrous
i agree that when you half ass or don't do EVERYTHING correctly very bad things happen to bmw motors very quickly the tolerances are such that it's going to be a full blown bad day
my old auto e39 with the M52TUB28 (i think thats what was in the 00 528i) had a 125 shot on it with no ill consequences but that was with separate fuel running the nitrous system and a lot of other gadgets and gismos
worst thing thats going to happen is you blow the welds on the intake manifold and your floor board flys out.... or the motor pops and you toss a s50 in. as long as you have the reserve funds to fix any problems don't be afraid to play.

Thanks for the murder setion. I was showing the temporary install. I wanted to test it out before making it permanent. Everything went well. I'm running a 125 shot and with the new headers it realy moves. The wood blocks are staying, it just makes sence to be able to remove the tank for filling and also if I get a flat I need to get to the spair tire. I do have the afr gauge but need a wideband o2censor. I'm working on that part next. I'm not sure on how to do the wiring for it, I have a four wire censor.
I wasnt trying to murder ya man, its just alot of people bolt on kits without knowing really what they are doing and it comes with blown up results, just wanted to advise ya thats all, glad it worked out, we will have to line up our 5ers one day and do a nitrous shoot out
