Drag Tips/Suggestions
Thinking about taking the R6 to BMP this thursday night for test and tune.
With 2,500 miles total riding experience I'm not expecting to set a new 1/4 mile best for a 03' R6
, but I'd just like to get more of a feel for opening it completely up in the safest place i figure I can do it.... on a track.
Anyone have any tips/suggestions for somewhat of a newbie as far as dragging a bike goes?

Don't even bother with a burnout. You'll wheelie way before you spin the tire.
Keep the rpm's at about 6k, let the clutch out just enough at the line to where it "just" begins to grab, when the light goes green slip the hell out of the clutch and keep the rpm around the 6-8k rpm. Get on the gas as much as possible.
Just takes a lot of practice. When you get your 60-foot time down to the 1.9 range, you are doing well.

yea, lots of clutch slip is what I figured as well, but its all street testing for me, no track time yet here either..
