Default Bike lowering kits?

I've been told lowering a bike will upset the geometry of the bike and it won't handle as well. I'm not interested in doing any stunts or hauling ass around corners. I just want a pimp bike that'll fit comfortably for cruising w/o the feeling that a strong gust of wind will tip me over :o Iv'e searched for parts and pics and specs as far as how low it can be lowered. Barney's told me they can include it in the package of an R6 but I wanna research on my own before wasting my money. This will determine what kinda bike to choose. I don't wanna spend money on a 250 just cause it fits if I can lower an R6 or Gixxer600 etc........

Anyone have any insight or sites that can help? Thanks for any info.

Well, All that I know is that using a hayabusa swingarm on a sv650 will lower it a few...

As for other bikes...
I'll look into it and post again later...

HAHAHAHA everyone downs the 250's, I know a guy who rides a 250 that will run circles around anyone else in the corners, I mean given its not the fastet thing on 2 wheels, its very nible and quick, you might consider it for your first bike, I mean hell you can always sell it to someone else for the same price.

Your going to dump the bike sometime, why not dump a bike that only ways 200lbs instead of a 350lbs bike???
