Default i have a tranny question

whne i shift my bike from neutral to first it kinda jumps forward. and if i start it in first it pulls forward a little (and yes im holding the clutch in on both of these shifts.) do i have a tranny problem? is this common? do i just need my clutch cable tightened? thanx ahead of time for the help.

tighten the cable and if that doesn't work, then your going to need a new clutch. When your holding the clutch in and you put it in first gear and rev it, does the bike still move a little like it's in gear?
