Here is the scoop.

Upon entering a right corner, I spotted a truck. Thinking I was going to hit it, I hit the brakes. I probably should not have done this and just pressed harder in the corner. The braking actually sent me toward the truck. Soon as that happened, I made the decision to just go all the way into the grass past the truck real quick. It's when I got in the grass that something happened. It was so quick, I do not know exactly what made me loose it but the next thing I knew, I was looking over at my bike with a splitting headache and sore ribs. My ribs, as of now, are hurting quite a bit. Probably going to go to the doctor tomorrow to be on the safe side.

I think I could have avoided the whole thing just by getting lower around the corner. I am pissed too as I have finally lost the right side chicken strip and pulled off my first wheelie today.

Bike got off light as I only need a new rearset and new rightside fairing.
Well Bill, Congrats, you survived your first major accident!!!!

Glad to hear your Ok too!!!

Also, get your ribs checked out, there going to hurt for sometime, and yourll start seeing brusies couple of days later, its all normal though. Also, check your helmet, make sure there are no cracks in it.

So where did this happen at?

Jesse

If you hit your head, you're supposed to replace the helmet b/c the foam compresses and will not provide much help if hit again.

Many manufacturers will inspect the helmet to tell you if it has damage.
