Default I crashed and am still here. :)

On last Monday (7/22) I cartwheeled the GSXR down the interstate on my way to work. Still hurts to type, so I'll elaborate details later.

My RS Taichi boots and Shoei X12 did their job. My only injuries are road rash (stomach, hands, arms, chest, minimal on legs) to everyone's amazement. I'm convinced of the merits of gloves and will be re-evaluating jacket options once I am healed and the bike is back up but as a full-figured female it will probably be something custom as I have two off the rack textiles that fit so horribly I can't say they would've helped much.

I will ride again for recreation and hopefully a track day but I personally am done commuting on the bike in Florida.

7/22 wreck - Imgur <--- pictures (in before the haters - yes, I'm still fat and still don't care if that bothers any of you).

Edit: My forks are still straight!!!

Thanks! I'm glad to be here.

I always said I'd wear the helmet 100% of the time. Very glad for it.

So how did you end up wadding up your bike?

The accident wasn't that eventful. My bike is thrashed and my body took a beating. I was on my way to work after a morning appointment when a lady in a SUV cut across multiple lanes of the interstate because her lane was slowing down and mine looked faster I guess. I was already braking for the slowing traffic, then suddenly SUV. I tried avoiding her while minding traffic when she slams on her brakes stopping way short of the traffic ahead. So I made more corrections and the front wheel locked causing the bike to loop about 40-50 mph.
