Default Riding with one hand law

Not sure if it is 100% true, but a friend of mine recently spoke to an officer and the officer told him it is now illegal to ride a motorcycle with one hand. It's a $1,000.00 fine

Improper tag are $1,500.00 now

Anyone know if this is true?

I always ride with one hand on long rides, its a lot more comfortable for me.

Its always been a law but maybe it the fines that are getting changed. Never thought they were that high. Cops are bad about it in Daytona during bike week. I do it a lot myself on long rides and passed many pasco cops with no issues.

my friend got pulled over for just taking his hand off the handle bars for like 3 seconds to adjust his jacket. they didn't give him a ticket but did give him a hard time about it

Cops in Tampa bay hate sportbikes. Especially in Pasco

Improper tag placement is $110, I know this because they dropped my no endorsement (because i couldnt turn in the paper work without valid dl)

I passed many troopers through florida and ga and tn riding with one hand. Didnt get pulled at all.
I call BS on a riding with one hand ticket. Because if that was the case how are you suppose to do hand signals on a bike with no signals or non-working signals?

Your right about the placement. Bit if the placement is obstructed then it turns into a 1000-1500 fine. Its up to the cop to determine what he thinks obstruction is.

True, Honestly it's stupid for people to bend there plates or anything like that, you're bound to get caught. Personally i'd rather ride with no plate but that's me lol.
