Tips on wheelies?
I was trying the "rotate the hip around the gas tank" thing and dipping the knee down deal...it felt natural and it felt like i had control! It was awsome. Ive always been afraid to wip out when bringing the knee down in a curve, but those tips really helped out.
I would love to go ridin with you guys on teusday, but I have class in the morning.

Well, I didn't pay attention last time I was up there. I know I start out by turning onto collier parkway from 54.....I think. From there, I cannot remember. There is a gas station on the corner we could meet at if anyone is interested.

I tried tonight.
I got it up to about 8k rpm in 1st gear and released the throttle and then goosed it...the front wheel came off the ground, but barely. I think I paused too long before I goosed it. Also, I was leaning forward alittle and I was huggin the tank. Next time I try, Ill sit back alittle further.
It wasnt as scary as I thought it would be to get the wheel up.
I cant wait to try again tomorrow.

I got really good at doing them on sv650's (like I can pop it in 1st gear and walk it through 5th), the only problem with them is that eventually the crank bearings get starved for oil, and so far i've gone through 3 engines, and my new SV is doing really good so far... I try to not do wheelies, but they are just so fun to do.... but I havent ridden it at all since I got a ticket for reckless driving for popping a wheelie..

They are kind of pointless.
To me though...its just plain fun.
Its a rush.
Its like cornering hard in an awsome handling car...or doing a smokey burn out.
Didnt you do wheelies as a kid on your huffy?
Just plain fun I geuss.

Oh yeah...I tried again today and Im getting better.
One thing about wheelies though...Ive heard that they can be kinda harsh on your shocks. So I geuss they arnt all that good for your bike.
