Sportbike riding in Tampa...been awhile.
Long time member here, might be moving back to Tampa next month and am debating whether to offload the sportbike, or keep it. I have not lived in Tampa since 2002. Are there any decent not-crowded twisties nearby? I've become kind of spoiled out here.
Actually leaning towards keeping it, cause I'd rather not take a bath on the resale value. I'm basically looking for the smallest excuse to keep it. It just sometimes gets hard here when it was 10 degrees yesterday and snow on the ground. I have to get back into the mindset of being able to ride year round again.
the roads here suck. we dont have any good twisties, but i still love my bike, i ride mine every day unless its raining lol. but i would keep it if i were you
The roads here suck if you own a sportbike. I'm sure the HD set love the long boring straightaways. Me, I live in southern hills. co. so I'm near some nice lazy meandering rural roads to explore, which suits my style of bike/riding just fine on most days. Though I'm looking forward to a trip this year to the north georgia mountains when I trailer up my Triumph.

If your looking for twisties Tampa is not the place hell Florida is not the place. There are fun rides that are around. I say give it a try and if there is nothing you find fun after 6 months sell the bike.
