Of the people I know that died riding...
Most of them died within 10 miles of their house...
A few within blocks..
I guess I will say that it is better than nothing... ( I used to have a vest, when they first came out, back when I stunted

i wouldnt get that jacket at all. it would be a waste of money, i think. get a real jacket that will protect you a lot riding around town (mesh is better than nothing but i would go for leather)
i only do my rides as much as i can when its not hot. summer rides for me only consist of country roads. no city streets for me.
