Default radios/experience

Ok, so been talking about getting either chatterbox or scala cardos with some friends (only 1/2) and wondering what people suggested, why, what the differences are etc. I'm not super tech savy and didn't really get a difference between them. Also with chatterbox what's the difference between the transmitters and the intercoms? From what I gathered the chatterbox intercom is like the cardo, as in predominately only bike to bike or passenger to rider is that correct where as the transmitter can have as many as possible. There's only going to prob be four people riding most of the times. So if anyone had insight into that as well as clarity of sound in each, etc... Thanks guys.

I bought a chatterbox Xbi2 about 2 months ago.
I have been an earbud guy for a long time but got tired of having one side fall out all the time. I heard scala wasn't very good and had heard nothing but good about C-box.
It took some getting used to but it's not to bad. Not as much bass as I'm used to but I can hear my music even over my exhaust. Phone call quality isn't the best but at least now I can hear when people call me and have a short
Comvo. Battery life is like 4-5 hours. I rode to Miami and back a few weeks ago and it didn't die until I was about an hour from home.
It's taken some getting used to but it really isn't that bad. One thing I hate though is that sometimes the Bluetooth signal is interrupted and the music skips and is very broken. It only does it every once in a while but when it does it's aggravating.

i know a lot of people are switching to the cardo g4 because it's got a lot more features than the chatterbox.....like fm radio, bluetooth music, phone, and gps...also it can hook up with up to 4 units at a time for bike to bike...i hear the sound quality is pretty good and the g4 fixed the radio isssues that the previous Q2 had...

I have the Scala rider G4.. (we sell them) and I love it.. FM radio, mp3, bluetooth.. easy to use. The volume raises and lowers based on the ambient noise.. Sound quality on MP3 and Phone is great! volume goes REAL loud if you want... It has good noise canceling for the mic... overall.. worth it!

The only thing that kinda sucks is the FM radio reception isnt always the best.. but it's still damn good.

triadx how much do you sell them for we'd prob be buying three when we get them and haven't done enough research but knew a friend who had the scala and she liked it and the sound calls were AMAZING but didn't know how it'd go for bike to bike, would imagine it'd be good and since we don't ride in the big groups we used to up to four units should be good..
