First off I'm glad these 2 are alive and and going to make a recovery. Please tell me how it is these 2 awesome riders as they claim to be run into each other turning down a street. These 2 assholes normally come on here and pick on all sport bikers. I think karma is a bitch.I hope you 2 get better but I hope this has changed your attitude a little bit.

i had a decent lead, so i flashed my brake light, began decelerating, hand signaled, then turned. i'd say that's a pretty safe way to go and more effort than most would put into slowly and safely turning. meanwhile it seems like frank's front brake failed so he wasn't able to stop and hit the front of my bike.

So what your saying the brakes failed? It could not have been the rider right? Humm sounds fishy to me. Maybe if you Harley guys were not trying to rev your pipes and slipping your clutch all the time maybe he would have saw you and hit the brakes.I gonna go with not paying attention!!!! Over brake failure.

good luck with your recovery...as a person who's broke their back i can tell u that its a long road but eventually it'll be over...good luck
lol yeah, it takes a little while with the wrist pain and only being able to use the pointer finger on my right hand to type. ya gotta laugh at it, cause looking in on it only us 2 idiots could end up in a situation like this and it's dfeinitely amusing. my grandfather always taught me that you need a good sense of humor to make it through life and the more i have to go through the more i value his words. we're still alive, and everything will heal so ya gotta make light of things.

yeah so far so good with the back, i tend to mend bones rather well being a big bastard with an addiction to calcium fortified orange juice, and skim milk and just being a big brutish bastard lol.

it's definitely going to take quite some time to heal up, but it all will in due time, the finger is just what worries me with how bad the knuckle's damaged and having to get put under for surgery. as long as i wake up and can use my finger again sweet deal, if i don't wake up that's as good a time as any.

seeing as how it's the first time we've been posted in here for an accident like this in almost 10 years of riding i'd say my attitude's pretty much unchanged. i personally don't see myself getting back in the saddle anytime soon cause my bike's totalled and body in shambles, but that has little to do with making fun of people for getting into wrecks while stunting at 120mph.

not to mention the disrespect ive seen from sport bike riders like when we had a ride to bury a friend who died speeding well over 100 like an idiot over the franklin (on a sport bike) and had to ride it on it side into stopped traffic. people doing burnouts in the funeral home parking lot in front of his parents, stunting during the ride, and a girl who was 2 weeks into riding getting asked about and pressured into stunts who ended up dead herself a few weeks later just for a few examples i've seen to support me being an 'asshole'.

at any rate i appreciate the well wishes and hope everyone else remembers to keep it shiny side up.

aside from the fact that his bike was in 3rd gear when we picked it up and his front brake has 0 pressure when grabbing the lever, not to mention nearing 10 years of riding under our belts, but you're right lets go ahead and make assumptions instead of reviewing any of the facts at hand. although i do appreciate all the flaming, i assumed as much when coming in here to update people =^_^=

besides, who is there to rev for on an empty street on a sunday night going home to watch tv? if we were at a bar playing the penis game trying to pick up chicks then i'd tend to agree but it seems you're on the wrong page.

With all due respect Forge, Jason would have loved it...I am with you about stunting during the ride, but I think he would have enjoyed the incident at the funeral home...

and who was the girl who passed? I only remember a couple girls being there, and as far as I know, all are well..

No harm in disprespect at all brother I totally agree that Jason would have loved it, but those antics are what brought us there and it's just disrespectful to his family to do it in front of them. It's fairly trivial compared with the stunting during the ride but just gets lumped in as the overall picture, because then his family is going to worry whether someone else is going to make a mistake like Jason and be having another senseless funeral.

I'm just glad this accident didn't end up that way, I'd hate to have to bury a friend over something like that or have my friends put me in a box.

I'm not sure who passed, it was mentioned to me briefly quite some time ago.

finger surgery seems to have gone well, we'll find out how it's mending on the post-op this coming Monday. Hopefully i'll get all this Frankenstein shit taken out of my finger so i can start PT.
