Default Thinking about selling the bike

As much as I love this bike I am thinking about selling. I know its going to be hard because everytime I ride it, it always leaves me with a smile.

It just getting to the point where I am wanting something different. Maybe its the six year itch but I really want a Ducati 1098 or 1198 but right now funds won't allow it. So for now I'd probably pick up something to hold me over.

Discuss.....

Why instead of "getting something to hold you over", why not just keep the Mile for a bit longer, get some dough toghether, and just buy what u really want?

Like obama promised. Change.

I through the something to hold over part together. That may or may not even happen. Plus I like to sell it while I can still get something out of it and not rack up anymore miles.

Why did you sell your OTHER Duc!?! You'll just miss the Ape when it's gone; you're like a dog chasing a car.

"Do I really look like a guy with a plan? You know what I am? I'm a dog chasing cars. I wouldn't know what to do with one if I caught it. You know, I just... do things."

don't do it, we know we're usually going to take a loss when we sell the bikes unless we got a great deal but selling without having another is going to drive you bonkers. The one time I dropped mine I'd only been riding about two weeks and I parked it. I dreamed about riding it and got back on after about a week and a half, imagine not being able to just get ride whenever you want. It'd drive me nuts

An 1198 is not 30K unless your looking at a R model. And I also heard the Aprilia Rsv4 turns in faster then the Ducati.

Besides that I'm thinking used not new. Let someone else take the hit. And I would be more then happy with a 1098 which I have seen for around 12k already hooked up with everything I would want.

Joe- The 998 while sexy as hell was not very practical on the street. Ergos were a bit too aggressive. While I haven't ridden a 1098/1198 I have sat on them and they aren't to bad.

I'm going to list the bike this weekend. If it sells it sells if not then I lose nothing. Only way I will sell it is if I get a reasonable (fair price to both the buyer and me) offer.

I'm doing some number crunching and I may have somthing in the works so if it does sell then I won't be bikeless for long and if it doesn't there may be 2 in the stables

The 1098 is a comfortable bike, I've sat on one but not ridden like yourself . They are pure sex on wheels too
