Few things:

Do not buy a bike as an alternative to a car. They are inferior to a car in almost every way, and it would be a pain in the ass trying to do your everyday trips on a bike.

Get your endorsement before you get your bike.

You don't NEED insurance, but you need to purchase insurance anyhow. You're one crash away from disaster on a bike.

Bikes are not that much cheaper than cars to maintain. If you're doing it because you think you're saving money, you're not. Buy a small car.

Anything else you'd like to cover, please ask.

i daily my bike with no issues but i dont go on long treks to often. like they said its just safer, and ur not gonna save money on a bike unless u get a small 250 or something that gets amazing gas mileage. It'll be cheaper insurance, if ur not going on the highway get a 250, especially since ur just starting.

65mpg (on average aside from spirited riding), and motorcycle insurance CAN be cheaper then car insurance but if I wasnt in the situation im in i'd have a car.

If u do get a bike, make sure u get gear helmet, Gloves, jacket, boots, and riding pants (and if not riding pants then some HEAVY jeans)
