Good choise for a first bike. Although you gotta get rid of that huge exhaust can ASAP. Take the MSF course and don't be queer, wear your gear.

Well, it wouldn't have been my recommendation for you to buy a brand new bike...but I guess since you already have it, midas well ride it. MAKE SURE YOU CAN FLAT FOOT THE MOTORCYCLE. This is your first bike, if you cannot flat foot it lower it until you can. And get frame sliders, because the probability of you dropping it is very, very high.

Other than that, don't squid it out. Ride SAFE. You don't need to be going on any rides where you're trying to drag a knee and haul ass around corners, thats how you die. Wear your gear, don't drink and ride at all while you're still a new rider - not even a drop. And stay ALERT. Every intersection, turnoff, stoplight. Assume you ARE going to get hit. Stay out of rush hour traffic for at least several months.

Thats about the advice I have for you right now. Well, that, and consider how many rider down threads we have here in bike tech. Don't be like the people in Bike Tech, don't ride crazy, because you are not special, and you can very easily become the next rider down thread.

Along with what everyone say, and welcome man... Stay safe, wear your gear and dont ride beyond your skill and you'll be safe with tons of fun.

Yeah def going to wear the gear. Its not worth my life. As far as lowering it,i herd something about there being a bolt you can lower to stock,1.5, and 3. any tips on how to do that? and the exhaust.....is going to be comiing off. lol shit is huge!!!! The main reason why I got a new bike is because its my first. i didnt want to get a used bike because i didnt wanna get a bike that breaks down every time and be thinking this isen't what i was expecting when getting a bike. I wanted something that I knew wouldn't break down and give me a good first riding experience. But thanks for all the advice im going to be needing all of it. Im going to be taking the MSF course out in clearwater soon.
