Default Went to Bradenton Motorsports Park today

So we went to the IFO event. Our Supra had an issue and our Civic we forgot the wheel spacers. So I jumped on my 2004 CBR 1000RR. This was my first time EVER at the track with a sport bike. This was my first time EVER attempting to launch my bike. Right when I was leaving an older guy that had a Busa came up and gave me two suggestions on what to change when I launched. Made a lot of sense. I will try it next time out. I'm going to the 1/8 to work on short times

The improvement in your times speaks for itself. Can't expect to just suddenly hop on a liter bike and run single digits. Keep up the good work.

You should post up a thread next time you go or something. I'm only on a cruiser, but its suppossed to be capable of a 12 flat and I wanna test that out at the track. I'd definately go (on a day that isn't a billion degrees) with a couple people.

And good decision on just running the 1/8th. Sunshine is freshly paved, and the first 1/8th your run is really where all of the strategy and skill comes into play.

If you're going to be doing more dragging may want to look into a lock up clutch. I've got a centrifugal lock up for the 1krr if interested. Will save you tons of clutch money. Also happen to have an extended swinger with proper chain as well.

I agree. I didn't know what to expect out of this bike my first time out. I'm pretty happy

I agree 100%. Almost every pass was faster. I'm going to try and make it out to Sunshine Wenesday after work

Definately tricky. I've worked with cars at the track for years so I will get it

The thing about my bike is I do north/south runs and drag it. I have fun doing both!

Anyone up for Sunshine Wenesday night?
