Default I want to try to ride dirt

I ride currently, but have little to no experience riding off road on dirt bikes, but I'm very interested in trying it. Is there a place to rent dirt bikes, maybe get some training, and ride around here? I've googled without much luck. Thanks in advance.

I belive the shop called OAS in front of croom in brooksville rents bikes, I know they rent quads but im not 100% sure on bikes. Other than that there used to be all kinds of tracks around here that werent legal and theyve all got shut down or turned into construction. But there's croom and Dade city is a track. They have practice nights at Dade you can go experiment on.

Last time I was at Croom, OAS didn't rent bikes/quads but that could have changed. I'd call them to double check. I don't know of anywhere that really rents them out other than Durhamtown Plantation Resort in GA.

As far as places to ride go... You can check out Croom, Bartow MX, Sunshine MX in Largo, Hardrock MX in Ocala, Dade City MX, or the Florida Motoplex up in the panhandle area (I-75/I-10). Ocala National Forest is also a place to ride trails and such but I've never personally been there. I hear there are a lot of restrictions. There is another place about an hour from me (I'm in Clearwater) towards the Orlando area, PM me and I'll give you directions. It's pretty badass. Lots of wide open spaces so you can let loose and get the feel of the bike/quad you rent/buy.

If you're ever looking for someone to ride with, PM me. I have a group out with me every weekend.

P.S. my quad is for sale I know you said you wanted a bike though.

Hey everyone, thanks so much. This gives me a good start to checking things out. I appreciate the info. I'm not interested in buying right now...but I'd like to experience some off road, always looks fun.
thanks again.
